Kelantan is situated at the northeast of Peninsular Malaysia, facing the South China Sea and neighboring with Thailand. Kelantan is rich with its local natural resources and have an area of 14 922 km2. Kelantan is quite separated from other states in Peninsular Malaysia because of the Titiwangsa Range.
This state is divided into 10 districts which are; Kota Bharu, Tumpat, Pasir Puteh, Machang, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Pasir Mas,Kuala Krai, Jeli and Gua Musang. The main towns in Kelantan include Kota Bharu (capital town of Kelantan), Pasir Puteh, Pasir Mas, Kuala Krai, Jeli, Rantau Panjang and Pengkalan Chepa.
Kelantan enjoys good tropical climate where heavy rain pours alternately and continuously in November, December and January (rainy season). The daily temperature in Kelantan is estimated to vary from 21oC to 32oC.
